IRC has received international recognition
as being an ‘industry leader’ in its ability to develop
Safety Cases.
Since 1997, IRC has prepared over 50 new or revised Safety Cases,
mostly for oil and gas companies.
Our experience includes the three major components of a
Safety Case:
- Facility Description,
- Safety Management System; and
- Formal Safety Assessment.
We have an enviable track record in achieving Safety Case acceptance
by Australian and UK petroleum authorities and also to corporate standards.
Our safety case development experience spans all phases (both
onshore and offshore) of the project lifecycle and extends to:
- concept selection evaluation;
- FEED and detailed design support;
- construction activities;
- operational support for:
o onshore and offshore petroleum facilities;
o mobile offshore drilling units; and
o pipelines.
- decommissioning/abandonment;
- revisions and updates to existing Safety Cases; and
- Transition management during change of operator or owner (acquisitions).
